Competitive Manufacturing Strategy |
---|
Competitive Manufacturing StrategyWhat you will not find here are the usual panaceas, prescriptions, fads, technology-centric offerings, and production engineering thinking that are at the core of failing competitiveness. What we will be offering is support to develop strategic management capabilities that are aligned with the requirements of a 21st century manufacturing enterprise. Our main focus here will be on providing information and tools to deal with strategy, technology, organisation and people in an integrated manner that takes account of the interrelationship among these elements, and how to align these elements to deliver competitive success. Our aim here is also to expose manufacturing enterprises to the range of issues that they need to be able to handle better than their competitors, and to demonstrate that if they wish to survive they will need to turn their backs on tradition and orthodoxy, and to engage in what many will think is heretical thinking. To do this you may also need to address innovation management. Also addressed here are some specific topics and importance to the future of manufacturing. Agains the focus is on strategic approaches. And this is just the beginning. Once the basics are sorted you will need to be thinking about agility and sustainability, again both addressed under separate sections of this web site.
