Leading companies from e-business
are combining to discuss strategy issues at the e2000 Conference
in Madrid. The keynote speakers in the opening sessions include
senior directors and managers from Nokia, Oracle, ICL, Cisco,
British Telecom and EDS. Subjects being debated cover mobile
communications, e-learning, knowledge management and electronic
procurement.
Apart from the strategic keynote
presentations there are 168 technical speakers in six parallel
streams and an exhibition featuring recent and forthcoming developments
in Internet and World Wide Web. Technical session topics will
examine the business implications by predicting forthcoming system
changes in areas of electronic work, supply chains, logistics
and applications and there are also sessions considering important
side aspects such as legal issues, trust, confidence and security.
Up to 500 delegates are expected,
mostly coming from European companies that are working at the
leading edge of technologies in this field. eBusiness and eWork
2000 takes place in Madrid 18-20 October at the NH Hotel Conference
Centre.
The primary conference sponsor
is the European Commission's Information Society Technologies
(IST) programme, Key Action II, New Methods of Work and Electronic
Commerce. This year's major sponsors are Canon Europe and Infineon
Technolgies. |
