Call for Sponsors

The eBusiness and eWork 2001 Annual Conference is a high profile event in a technology area that is attracting enormous interest from business and the general public. The European Commission, through its Information Society Technologies Programme supports the e2001 event. The aim is to help promote the activities and achievements of the IST programme's Kay Action II, New Methods of Work and Electronic Commerce.

A number of companies are appreciating the value of sponsoring for gaining exposure and fostering good will to a precise target audience; last year's event in Madrid attracted 550 participants. Sponsorship can cover a range of attractive items and activities, such as:

  • the delegates' wallets, pens or promotional gifts
  • transfer of delegates from the airport to hotels and return
  • evening cocktails and other social activities
  • gala dinner
  • support services like a Cyber Café

Publicity for Sponsors

Before the event prominent notice will be given to sponsors

  • in the final edition of the programme (circulated to over 10,000 addresses)
  • on this web site (www.cheshirehenbury.com/ebew)
    in press releases

At the conference, prominent acknowledgement of sponsors will be given

  • on display panels
  • in the delegate notes, final programme and daily newsletters
  • in visuals and announcements given from the session platforms.

The preferred method of working is for sponsors to be put in touch with suppliers so that they may directly supervise the arrangements. Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis. To apply for sponsorship or seek more information, please send an email to the following address:

Ideas and Opportunities for Sponsorship

Pens, Wallets etc

Sponsors can have their name and logo on the wallets and pens given to each delegate. Delegates would also appreciate other promotional gifts from a company such as paper knives, tee shirts, book marks, paper weights and so on. Sponsorship for the pens could be from as little as1,000 euros.

Transportation

It is hoped to meet and greet delegates at Venice's Marco Polo international airport and to transport them to Venice and on to the hotels. It may be possible to set up a welcome desk at the airport or a banner so that the sponsor's name is shown as welcoming e-2001 delegates. For delegates this would be a memorable and much appreciated arrival. Costs vary from 1,500 euros, for buses to town, up to 7,000 euros for water taxis from the airport.

Evening cocktails

After the close of sessions at 17.20 on Wednesday and Thursday, a cocktail will take place for all delegates on the conference site. Sponsorship of an Evening Cocktail is from 5,400 euros up to 7,800 according to menus.

Gondola rides

There is no symbol more identifiable with Venice than the gondola and every visitor will forever remember a trip in one of this elegant craft. Prices cover all delegates vary from 3,800 euros for a thirty-minute journey to 6,000 euros for a voyage with music and song.

Gala dinner

The Gala Dinner will inevitably be a high spot of the event for all those that participate in e-2001. Sponsors may pay for the whole activity or part of the dinner such as entertainment or drinks or collaborate with other sponsors. Prices vary from location and menu but a typical quotation varies from 17,000 up to 25,000 euros.

Cyber-Café

The cyber-café will have a number of computers with Internet connections, available for delegates. Sponsorship is from 5,000 euros.
