e2002 - Information

Venue

eBusiness and eWork 2002 takes place in the luxury, five star Corinthia Towers Hotel, with its superb conference and banqueting facilities. The location is close to the City Centre and Prague's famous sightseeing attractions.

Major Places of Interest

Among Prague's many attractions are Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge, Loretto Church, Royal Palace, St Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle, the Vltava River and the graceful Old Town with its medieval streets lines with Baroque and Rococo Houses. Last year, October was Prague's second driest month with less than 20-mm rainfall and an average temperature of 13ºC.

Security, Health and Safety

Please wear your name badge for all e2002 activities, as it is your identification and your safeguard against unwelcome guests. Unfortunately, IT Conferences are a temptation to sneak thieves so bags, laptops and other valuables are vulnerable. There will be security staff but hotels are open to the public and the organisers cannot accept any responsibility for losses so please look after your personal property so that lost or missing items do not spoil your conference.

The organisers cannot take responsibility for personal health and safety. Delegates should be covered by personal health insurance and take care not to venture into dangerous areas, which fortunately are rare in Prague.

Accommodation

e2002 delegates are advised that to get the maximum value out of the conference they should stay at the Corinthia Towers Hotel, a five star luxury hotel with the highest standards of facilities and service, which offers them special rates. The organisers have appointed La Bohéme as the official Site Agents. Through them you may book your accommodation in the Corinthia Towers and six other hotels: Hilton (5*), Corinthia Panorama (4*), Diplomat (4*), Aron (3*), Quality (3*), and Top (3*) which have a range of prices. e2002 delegates will get free transfers from the airport to these designated hotels (except the Diplomat which has a good metro connnection) and the conference site.

Owing to Lybian interests in the Corinthia Group the US administration bars its citizens from trading in its hotels. The Corinthia Towers Hotel in Prague welcomes all nationalities and is able to accept all major credit cards except American Express.
